Scheduler

The Scheduler is responsible for the scheduling of hourly workers throughout the mill. The Scheduler is also responsible for posting and awarding bid jobs, tracking training, entering vacations, and other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• Education equivalent to graduation from high school required, some college preferred.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in a secretarial/clerical function in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• High level of organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer systems including experience with word processing, spreadsheet, and scheduling software.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to function effectively under pressure.
• Strong appreciation for the retention and management of confidential information.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license.
  

Principle Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the scheduling of the labor workforce within multiple departments.
• Posting the schedule weekly.
• Familiarity with the Labor Agreement and policies for scheduling.
• Ensure department training needs are current.
• Post and award bid jobs.
• Track training of employees throughout the mill and update the training matrix accordingly.
• Enter vacations and post for vacations as needed.
• Discuss the schedule and how it works at new hire orientation.
• Other duties as assigned.
