Career Opportunity: Journeyman Mechanic

2nd shift : Mon – Fri 2p-10p/1030p could work up to 12 hr shifts, will be closing, must be flexible for overtime and weekends as needed. Will be training on 1st shift for 1 month+

The salary range for this position is $25.98-$38.09 an hour depending on your role, level, and location. Job Description:

The Reliability Technician primary responsibilities, with safety in mind, are to maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Possessing welding and machining skills are a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in analytically determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for a unionized plant.

How you will impact WestRock:

Is responsible for maintaining and improving a safe working environment for all. Analytically, Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements.
Advises operators of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components.
Informs appropriate management and supervision personnel of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved.
Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed.
Assists other maintenance personnel and other technical level employees with technical troubleshooting and training.
Performs other duties as required.

What you need to succeed:

Must be highly safety conscious. Proven experience and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in the mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields are required
Experience in electrical troubleshooting.
Computer experience/operation and PLC required.
High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.
Ability to climb, bent stoop, kneel, and to work beneath, in and on top of machines and in close quarters performing analysis and repair work for prolong periods.
High school diploma or its equivalent required.
