Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products Operation is seeking qualified professionals to consider for a Reliability Engineer role supporting the Consumer Products Group Operations located in Muskogee, OK. The Muskogee facility uses integrated technology to manufacture tissue and paper towel products in a progressive production environment.
If you have a passion around building capability in others, Georgia-Pacific’s Muskogee Manufacturing facility is looking for a Reliability Engineer to help advance our team's capabilities. This role will work closely with reliability, maintenance, and operations departments to facilitate continuous improvements, safely improving productivity, reducing costs through process/equipment optimizations and operator knowledge and skill improvements throughout the Muskogee facility.

What You Will Do
- Providing leadership in the achievement of improved performance in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, customer satisfaction, organizational effectiveness, cost management and asset utilization in the packaging and converting operations area
- Evaluate, approve, and prioritize equipment repairs and scheduled shutdowns utilizing the Asset Maintenance Work Process
- Coach and develop operators to reliably operate equipment and processes
- Work closely with operators and customers to troubleshoot process, quality and equipment issues and evaluate and implement improvement ideas
- Lead Root Cause Analysis process and execute effective corrective actions
- Create a safe workplace with all environmental, safety and business practices with emphasis on identifying and mitigating critical risks
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement efforts
- Maintain necessary departmental records and reports
- Regularly help communicate, articulate, and direct departmental priorities to achieve mill and company visions
- Lead the focus on improving long term reliability across the product system
- Understand top priorities and continually build reliability capability in our people, process, and equipment
- Collaborate with the work system team to review and analyze loss analysis and asset tracking data to identify equipment reliability and performance issues (gap analysis) and develop improvement plans
- Identify the need for Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), initiate and lead/or participate in RCFA as needed (Critical failures, for example)
- Initiate and develop venture summaries (capital project requests) to address reliability issues
- Troubleshoot operational issues and analyze efficiency and equipment reliability data
- Facilitate, coach, and teach operational optimization concepts, work processes, methods, & tools
- Apply Discipline Operations strategy for managing continuous improvement of Product Systems and Processes leading to product improvement
- Provide feedback to the Facility leadership team on manufacturing work process gaps and results
- Mentor and support area leaders with daily manufacturing work process execution and improvement efforts
- Effectively apply the challenge process; coach initiative owners to urgently escalate issues that are prohibiting the delivery of initiative results
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience working within a manufacturing, industrial or military environment
- Experience leading Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and maintenance and reliability best practices
- Experience in data analytics and data-driven action planning
- Experience with improving existing work processes and leading change in manufacturing areas
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
- At least three (3) years of experience working in a paper or converting mill
- Experience initiating and/or executing capital projects
- Experience with PI or other data historian programs
