The opportunity:
- Provide the Mill with the IT support required to meet the Mill’s ever-expanding needs.
How you will impact WestRock:
- Implementation of mill projects - Review IT involvement, work with Engineers/Vendors
- Responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of information technology solutions that meet the requirements of the management of the Fernandina Mill and the Corporate IT Department.
- Communicate with and support end users, to affect business changes through application of information technology solutions.
- Willingness to go above and beyond when circumstances require it.
- Although the position’s official hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday, the responsibility extends to emergencies in the evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Load, configure, deploy, support, and repair computers, laptops, phones, and printers.
- Install and support computer software.
- Maintain, update, diagnose, and analyze existing mill business LAN network. This network includes copper cables, fiber optic cables, network switches, routers, and other components.
- Assist Corporate IT in loading and maintenance of network-based applications such as JD Edwards, Panther, and PI. Familiarity with any or all of these programs is a plus.
- Assist Corporate IT in managing and maintenance of mill servers and virtual servers.
- Lead in the improvement of IT-related equipment or responsibilities
- Responsible for requesting LAN access for file permissions, printers, backups and restorations.

What you need to succeed:
- Associates Degree in Information Technology or related; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven PC/LAN experience and knowledge of local area network computing, including Ethernet, Cisco, Windows, and TCP/IP
