JOB INFO:
Western Corrugated Design is looking for an experienced Flexo Press operator. We are looking for a candidate that would like to continue their career with a growing Company. Successful candidates must have adequate knowledge and apply that knowledge to improve the processes and meet or exceed our customer’s quality requirements.
Job Summary: Responsible for set up and operation of multiple blade slitting/rewinding and packaging machines in a fast paced manufacturing environment. Essential Functions: Operate a press. This includes set ups, running jobs, monitoring inks, maintenance and repair, and supervising the work of a helper. Run at best possible speed and minimize waste. Understand the operation of the press you run. Be able to troubleshoot when needed. Check print quality throughout the shift. Take necessary action to meet quality required. Make sure plates are clean during printing, and make sure they are returned clean to the mounting department after press run. Follow instructions on the job envelope and specifications sheet. Follow the job schedule. Where there are any questions about the schedule, Direct them to your immediate supervisor. Fill out production reports and any other necessary reports. Must have previous work experience in flexo printing
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Able to read and follow all instructions
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Candidates MUST offer the following:
- Prior work experience operating a Flexo Press
- Corrugated Box Manufacturing Experience
Candidates must be able to work any shift, pass background check, drug screen and pre-employment test. The position has a 90 day probationary period.
