Job Description

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for creating and maintaining high standards of service to customers in order to develop and maintain a quality reputation in the market place, build public relations and increase sales.

 

This role is 100% onsite at Champion Container Corporation in Wood Dale IL.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create manufacturing specs in accordance with customers’ requests
  • Handle product/service claims and special orders/requests
  • Respond to customer service issues with status, pricing, product availability, and any other customer concerns or problems
  • Check inventory control and notify stock control departments of orders that would deplete stock

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Knowledge of the different types of packaging, inks, and board grades and equipment capabilities
  • Ability to calculate fractions and decimals
  • Ability to apply sound judgment and decision-making skills in dealing with a variety of routine and non-routine issues
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with strong data entry skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

                           

Job Requirements  

  • 2 years’ Customer Service experience in the Corrugated Industry
  • 2 years’ experience in Amtech preferred

 

Education

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D.
  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree a plus
