Job Posting: Maintenance Technician
Location: Hillsboro Oregon
Shift: Swing Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM
Description:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical troubleshooting. Experience working on machinery used to produce corrugated paper boxes is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates holding LME (Limited Maintenance Electrician) or other relevant certifications and/or education. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment in a fast past paced, yet friendly work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues
- Read and understand operation manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Effective communication with management and team members across shifts
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proficient in reading and understanding operation manuals, mechanic drawings, and electrical schematics
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work swing shift (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
- Ability to complete arch flash certification (training course will be provided)
- Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision, and prioritize workload independently
Preferred but not required:
- LME or other relevant certifications
- Experience working with machinery used in corrugated paper box manufacturing
- PLC and VFD interfacing and troubleshooting experience
