Job Summary:

Responsible for the planning and scheduling of materials through the production schedules. Coordinates with production, and customer service.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrate commitment to safety and performs job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Daily scheduling of the corrugator and converting equipment using CTI computer systems
  • Maintain a master schedule of manufacturing operations and provide an update for machine work centers daily or as needed throughout the day
  • Increase the throughput in manufacturing by efficient scheduling, taking into account things like sizes, colors, stocks, etc
  • Track and monitor status of all components required to produce a job (i.e. stock, ink, dies, plates, etc.) and ensure components are available when the job is scheduled to run
  • Keep customer service representatives informed of the status of their orders, especially changes in the status
  • Help determine overtime requirements and report them to the respective manager
  • Assist in preparing the daily back-log report to inform all departments of the current workload
  • Recommend procedures to enhance the scheduling system
  • Prepare information for and participate in daily production meeting
  • Communicate workflow in and out of facility with parties involved
  • Actively participate in new item meetings
  • Make periodic tours of the plant to visually check and review jobs being produced

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

 

Other Functions:

  • Will assist in yearly roll stock inventory

Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three (6) or more years corrugated packaging industry experience
  • Experience (5+ years) with planning software
  • Experience (5+ years) in Transportation & Logistics
  • Experience (5+ years) in Inventory Management
  • Experience (5+ years) in Corrugator Scheduling

 

Machines/Tools/Equipment: 

  • Corrugator, Flexo’s, Flat Bed Die Cutters, Rotary Die Cutters, Joiners, Printing, CTI HRMS, Multi Operations

 

Safety:  

Employees are expected to follow all facility safety guidelines that include adhering to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and Food Safety as outlined during their training.
