POSITION OVERVIEW

The Account Executive - Paper Bag is responsible for building relationships with new customers and maintaining relationships with existing ones. The position is responsible for driving significant sales growth in the respective region. The successful candidate is an expert communicator, and highly proficient at planning and coordinating account activity, generating sales opportunities, and reporting the status of accounts on a regular basis. A successful candidate will build strong client relationships, identify gaps and growth potential, and explore untapped opportunities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts
  • Develop a targeted sales strategy to capture the target market in the region, whilst maximizing profitability
  • Develop a strong understanding of the paper bag market in North America, staying up to date on industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes
  • Attend relevant trade shows and other industry events to promote the business and drive sales volume growth
  • Work closely with management to advise on companies’ value proposition, product mix, future equipment investment needs and any adjacent market opportunities that may existing outside of the current business’ scope
  • Maximize territory growth by developing meaningful customer relationships that yield account value
  • Prepare monthly and annual budgets
  • Responsible for completing accurate and detailed documentation when requesting structural design and pricing requests
  • Work closely with the customer service representatives, structural designers, and graphic services departments to create packaging according to the customers requirements

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s level education required at minimum
  • Proven history of driving significant sales growth
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in a fast-paced sales environment (e.g. Packaging, food processing, automotive, fulfillment and logistics)
